Dr Nancy Rushohora
Honorary Research Fellow
Nancy Rushohora is a Postdoctoral Fellow in Studies in Historical Trauma and Transformation at Stellenbosch University, South Africa. She holds a PhD in Historical Archaeology from the University of Pretoria (2016). Her research interests include archaeology of resistance, trauma, heritage, photographs and memory. Currently, she is working on the Majimaji War—a resistance against the German colonialism in Tanzania (1904-1908). She is particularly questioning the removal and restitution of human remains from Tanzania to Germany and engaging with the use of the war landscape, museum and memorials.
